ISO/IEC 17025
ISO/IEC 17025 was launched in 1999 as the substite of ISO Guide 25. ISO/IEC 17025 has been revised and published on may 2005. ISO/IEC 17025 is the main standard which used by the examiner and calibration laboratory. This standard provides a global requirement for the competency in term of examination or calibration including the sampling process. Many laboratory conduct ISO/IEC 17025 in order to improve the ability of the company in producing valid results consistently. ISO/IEC 17025 is specifically developed to provide the standard in quality management system and technical requirement of laboratory.
A company might be used to increase the confidence in calibration system by applying ISO/IEC 17025 in their system.
